That's Crafty Masks and Stencils Challenge

thatscraftychallenges.blogspot.com
This was a real challenge for me, I have some texture paste and only a couple of masks/stencils, but I have never used them on cards before.  I started with the Tim Holtz Rays Stencil on the top half of my Kraft card.  I used some texture paste and coloured some of the rays with a Spectrum Noir pen.
I then used a mask on the bottom half of the card which I coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks.  This didn't really work as well as I was hoping so I used the same mask moved slightly and dabbed my embossing ink pad over then covered in Wow embossing powder and set with my heat gun.  I wanted it to look like water and was quite pleased with the result.  I cut out the tops of the houses from the paper and stuck to the card.

Close up of the embossing.
It's really sparkly but doesn't really show in picture.

Cardmaking and papercraft cute Animals Thank you card no 4

The last teacher thank you card. www.cardmakingandpapercraft.com

I started with the spotty paper and then decided it needed more so cut the flag shape and added some dark wood grain effect paper underneath.  I cut the rectangles with my new stitch die (loving it).  I stamped the books and owl and coloured with spectrum noir pens.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and I added foam behind to add interest.  I then poked a brad through the top of the rectangle to give the look of being pinned to the card.

Another label card  this owl stamp is my favourite at the moment, I've used it lots of times.
I started with some soft pink paper from my stash and die cut it with a stitched rectangle.  I then stamped ink blots with a waltzingmouse stamp. After colouring with Spectrum Noir pens I covered the whole owl in clear embossing powder and then stuck googley eyes on.  I die cut the labels in patterned paper and vellum, tied with pink bakers twine and added some sequins.  I then stuck the owl onto the tag and attached to card front.

This weekend I made a card for the pretty pink challenge.  www.cardmakingandpapercraft.com

I recently brought the 50's style TV die from Sizzix sale and couldn't wait to use it!  I started with the pink card and cut the corners.  Then I stuck the glitter tape in stripes across the paper.  I die cut the TV in Black, Pink and gold glitter paper.  After stamping the screen I covered in Glossy Accents and left to dry overnight.  I die cut the Best Wishes in black fun foam and black card and stuck together to raise it slightly.  Really pleased with this retro card.

Uniko Challenge Black and White

The Uniko Challenge this month is Black and White the twist is a pop of colour.

Here is my card   unikostudio.blogspot.com

I recently brought this skeleton stamp and die in the Sizzix sale and was pleased to find a reason to use it, other than waiting for Halloween!  While making this card I also thought I could use the skeleton for a Get well Card!  I stamped (in black) some flowers and diamonds on plain white paper and cut into strips, I have some film strip washi tape which I brought at a Boot Sale, so I don't know the make.  I die cut some red glitter hearts and added some black sequins.  The black card I used for the base looks like leather, but can't be seen in the photo.  The sentiment was a Waltzingmouse stamp.

Kristina Werner August Mail Call

I love to watch Kristina's YouTube Channel, her work is so lovely.  This month I decided to enter her mail call for August which is stripes!

This was a simple card to make.  I covered the card base with a blue and white stripe paper, then stamped a London Bus onto red card with white embossing powder.  I added a sentiment in embossing powder also.  I fiddled a bit adding other things but decided simple looked the best.
