Lavinia Stamps Challenge Jellyfish

I recently found the Lavinia stamps on line store and fell in love with some of their stamps.  I of course had to purchase a few, and then I realsized there was also a challenge blog!  My first go with the jellyfish stamp.

I started with watercolour paper and heat embossed the jellyfish in white embossing powder.  then I used Tim |Holtz distress inks to give a watery background.  I tied some ribbon round and stuck three small stones under.  I mounted the card onto a slate grey cardstock and then my card was made from a cool grey.  I decided this was classy!

That's Crafty - House Challenge House Warming Card

Today I made a card for That's Crafty Challenge, House is the inspiration and it can be Home or Bingo or animal home related.  I choose to make a house warming card as my friend is moving.

I started by cutting out three hearts in ever decreasing sizes, I embossed my card base and the middle heart.  I stamped the house and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  When this was all stuck down I decided it needed more white, so I drew some stitching lines all round the pink heart edge.

Thats Crafty Challenge Sparkly

This challenge was for a little or a lot of sparkle.  My Dr who mad friend had a birthday this week so I made a sparkly Dalek.  I drew the dalek out on the back of some black paper and fussy cut out.  I die cut a circle for his head which I cut in half.  Obviously I had to then use sequins!  When stuck down I covered in Wink of Stella.  I was quite pleased with the result, she thought it was awesome!

That's Craft Challenge Numbers

At last half term is over and back to school!  I have made a few cards but not been able to blog about them.  So here goes

I have made two cards for the That's Crafty challenge, numbers up!

thatscraftychallenges.blogspot.com

My first card is a box card, first attempt! Found a bit tricky to put together but pleased with the end result.  My son has two birthday party's to go to this week.

I decorated as many panels as I could!  I drew the 10 on the back of glitter card, backwards, and then cut out.  Most of the other pieces were die cuts.

Products Used

Spotty card was from stash.
Docrafts glitter paper pack
X cut star nesting dies
Paper everyday circus Fancy Pants 6 x 6 pad

My second card was for another 10 year old boy.

I started with the great brick paper and die cut the name out.  I wanted the Happy Birthday and 10 to look like graffiti.  I rubbed the embossing pad ink onto the paper and sprinkled the embossing powder on. It was easy to use a small dry brush to draw the 10 and wipe any excess away.    I am really pleased with the effect it looks just like a spray can and was just the look I was after.  Easy to do and I will deffo be using this idea again.

Products used
Fancy Pants everyday circus brick paper from 6 x 6 pad
Black embossing powder from Papermania
