Pretty in Pink Cardmaking Challenge

This weekend I made a card for the pretty pink challenge.  www.cardmakingandpapercraft.com

I recently brought the 50's style TV die from Sizzix sale and couldn't wait to use it!  I started with the pink card and cut the corners.  Then I stuck the glitter tape in stripes across the paper.  I die cut the TV in Black, Pink and gold glitter paper.  After stamping the screen I covered in Glossy Accents and left to dry overnight.  I die cut the Best Wishes in black fun foam and black card and stuck together to raise it slightly.  Really pleased with this retro card.

Uniko Challenge Black and White

The Uniko Challenge this month is Black and White the twist is a pop of colour.

Here is my card   unikostudio.blogspot.com

I recently brought this skeleton stamp and die in the Sizzix sale and was pleased to find a reason to use it, other than waiting for Halloween!  While making this card I also thought I could use the skeleton for a Get well Card!  I stamped (in black) some flowers and diamonds on plain white paper and cut into strips, I have some film strip washi tape which I brought at a Boot Sale, so I don't know the make.  I die cut some red glitter hearts and added some black sequins.  The black card I used for the base looks like leather, but can't be seen in the photo.  The sentiment was a Waltzingmouse stamp.

Kristina Werner August Mail Call

I love to watch Kristina's YouTube Channel, her work is so lovely.  This month I decided to enter her mail call for August which is stripes!

This was a simple card to make.  I covered the card base with a blue and white stripe paper, then stamped a London Bus onto red card with white embossing powder.  I added a sentiment in embossing powder also.  I fiddled a bit adding other things but decided simple looked the best.

Tag You're It Challenge

Today I made a tag for Tag You're it challenge.  I loved the black and white stripe and red flower on Erin's tag.  I pretty much copied her design, with the writing, flower and  my take on black and white stripe.

Lavinia Stamp Challenge Add a Flower or Flowers

Lavinia have some awesome stamps and I couldn't resist this one! laviniastamps.com

I entered the Lavinia Stamp Challenge with this card.  I stamped on some spare watercolour paper and used Inktense pencils to watercolour the flowers.  I then simply mounted onto brown paper and wrapped twine round the card.  I think it has a 70's feel to it!

That's Crafty Stars Card Challenge

Today I had a go at making a card for That's crafty Challenge.  This time a star has to be on your project somewhere.  I love stars and sparkle so jumped right in with this card.

I started by embossing the chicken wire stamp in white embossing powder, then cutting the stars in glitter paper and sticking them down with the sequins.  I used washi tape and cut out a new label die and stamped the sentiment in black ink.  Finished with rounding the corners.

I recently found the Lavinia stamps on line store and fell in love with some of their stamps.  I of course had to purchase a few, and then I realsized there was also a challenge blog!  My first go with the jellyfish stamp.

I started with watercolour paper and heat embossed the jellyfish in white embossing powder.  then I used Tim |Holtz distress inks to give a watery background.  I tied some ribbon round and stuck three small stones under.  I mounted the card onto a slate grey cardstock and then my card was made from a cool grey.  I decided this was classy!
